About Stuart Lee

Recently left the Royal Navy after varied career, majority of which was in the Submarine Service initially as Electrical Panel operator, then Reactor Panel operator specialising in planned/preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance while deployed to allow continuous operation of machinery. Final and most enjoyable job on Submarines was as Head of Ship Systems (Electrical) where every day presented something new to fix. From refrigeration plants, hydraulics, pumps/motors, air purification, ventilation. Continuous development throughout career enabling me to learn a wide range of skills and equipment culminating in Nuclear Propulsion Supervisor and Defence Instructor Trainer. With a strong sense of duty and ownership, I always strive to maintain equipment to a high standard and minimise any faults as soon as possible. Particularly proud to have been in charge of a small team that maintained an aging T-Class Submarine on her final deployment that was extended due to operational reasons. This brought a few maintenance/stores issues that were overcome and allowed the platform to fully operate until the end of deployment. Now leaving the Navy with a fantastic opportunity to consolidate my electrical/maintenance knowledge by completing civilian qualifications and enjoy a new career that will hopefully allow me to share different ideas and improve things where possible and also take on board other ideas from a new perspective and develop together.
