About Stuart McAra

A passionate and committed fundraiser, I am determined to use my skills to tackle the effects of poverty, discrimination or ill-health among the most marginalised and vulnerable people and communities and to make the world a safer, healthier, and more sustainable place to live for all its inhabitants With nearly 20 years experience in the charitable sector, I bring both creativity and thorough analysis to fundraising strategy development, seeking the most effective activities and campaigns for the organisation and its existing and potential donor base that will result in sustainable long-term growth and donor commitment. I am a champion of increased personal knowledge of, and relationships with, donors as individuals, to allow more personalised fundraising approaches, more appropriate supporter care, and increased supporter commitment, satisfaction and retention. I have experience of working collaboratively with staff and volunteers at all levels in the UK and from partner countries to deliver excellent results. I take educated risks to introduce new ideas or change course personally or as a team to achieve desired results.
