About Stuart Milton

I’m in technology to build products with audio and video functionality that enables users to stay connected with friends and family, collaborate on the next “big thing”, capture important moments, and create new experiences. Next-generation user interfaces, Windows Hello and Cortana, are two examples of new experiences that rely on audio and video capture. I’ve worn many hats in my career, at a few companies – electrical engineer, lab manager, program manager, system engineer, verification engineer, technical lead and manager. A few things I’ve learned from these varied experiences is no one role in a project is more, or less important than another, leading doesn’t depend on role and everyone must be unrelenting in delivering the best user experience. As a Director at Microsoft I am fortunate to lead a team of talented engineers who have a single minded focus of delivering the best possible experiences with Microsoft Surface cameras and displays. We relish the challenges and learning opportunities that come from developing test strategies and tools necessary to verify new camera and display end-user experiences.
