About Stuart Reid

I am a client accountant with 10+ years of property management experience, most recently at Colliers International. Previously at legacy DTZ, part of Cushman and Wakefield, where I managed the finance element of 2 large investor clients, Kent County Council and PAT Pensions. During this period I was also involved in a major audit exercise for the company, making savings of over 2m. Prior to my work in this area, I gathered a great deal of experience as a service charge accountant, and before this in the national setup team, where I ensured new instructions were up and running on schedule, to allow for first quarter charges to be raised etc. I was also seconding in 2012 to the role of Data and Controls Manager. where my role was to ensure best practice is followed by our accounts department as a whole. This includes ensuring bank reconciliations are completed on schedule, that out of management portfolios are handed over efficiently, CIS reporting is completed, and so on. All of this was managed via a KPI dashboard which allows management nationally to review the performance of their teams instantly. I have also been involved in the RICS workgroup, ensuring that my company continue to follow RICS guidelines for best practice. Through this I have also identified potential new revenue streams for my company, which will be implemented pending review.
