About Stuart Wagstaff

Personal Profile. After graduating as a mature student, I entered engineering at a professional level. I have shown myself to be highly motivated, flexible, enthusiastic and conscientious. I have a proven record of being able to work independently, as a team member or as a project leader, to achieve time bound goals. I possess good interpersonal and communications skills, allowing me to relate to a wide range of individuals. I am seeking to realise my full potential in a Professional Technical or Engineering role. I previously worked at Perkins Engines as a 6 Sigma Black Belt / Technical Specialist, within a number of Component and Systems Teams. This has generally involved leading complex projects that do not sit within one specific engineering discipline and require multi-disciplined approach. I have a proven record of effectively engaging CAE teams, Engineering Specialists, together with dedicated rig and engine test to deliver detailed analysis for solving complex technical issues. I have also been involved with long-term projects aimed at developing new tools and analytical techniques to embed within the development process, to mitigate risks in problematic areas. This has involved a long term working relationship with academia and resulted in 3 PhDs and a number coauthored papers. This work has subsequently resulted in the practical application of this knowledge within the Design and Development process.
