About Stuart Waugh

With a Master of Library and Information Studies from the University of Alabama and over eight years of experience in customer service, I am passionate about the role of libraries and non-profits in improving the lives of the members of our community. Throughout my career at the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library and the University of Alabama Libraries, I have honed my skills in patron assistance and library operations. My technical expertise, developed through roles in IT and technical support, complements my strong customer service abilities, allowing me to provide comprehensive support to both patrons and staff. In my current role with United Way, I have further developed my administrative and organizational skills while supporting the community through various initiatives. This experience has strengthened my commitment to serving the public and contributing to meaningful causes. I am committed to the principles of diversity, free access to information, and intellectual freedom. I am proud to contribute to the library and non-profit communities and look forward to continuing to support and advocate for our shared values.
