Electrical & Computer Engineer, holding a diploma equivalent to BSc and MSc from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) and a PhD degree from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Ι have worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher and as an energy analyst for the Greek Energy Regulator (Regulatory Authority for Energy - RAE). My academic/scientific interests are related to smart grids, distribution and transmission network monitoring, operation and control, interdependencies between smart grids and electricity markets, and application of mathematical tools, big data and machine learning in Power Systems. My main fields of expertise are Power Systems, Smart grids, Distributed Energy Resources (Distributed Generation, Storage, Demand Response) integration, mathematical analysis methodologies (focus on: linear algebra, estimation theory, time series analysis, forecasting, statistics and econometrics). I have also worked for the Greek Transmission System Operator (ADMIE / IPTO). I am currently working for the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator (DEDDIE / HEDNO) on the electrical network operation and development, integrating new technologies, innovative schemes and smart grid infrastructure.
