About Suba Umathevan

As the CEO of DROSOS FOUNDATION a Swiss-based philanthropic organization that supports social initiatives and entrepreneurs in the Middle East North Africa and Eastern Europe I lead a diverse and dynamic team of 35 team members across five countries. With over 10 years of experience in the non-profit sector I have a proven track record of designing and implementing impactful programs managing strategic partnerships and advocating for women's and children's rights humanitarian assistance and social innovation. I am passionate about empowering communities and individuals to create positive and sustainable change in their contexts and I apply my analytical skills strategic thinking and workshop facilitation abilities to support this vision. I am also a member of the Assembly of the International Committee of the Red Cross where I contribute to the governance and oversight of the world's largest humanitarian organization. In addition I serve as an advisory board member of the University of Lucerne where I share my insights and expertise on global issues and challenges. I hold a Master's in International Affairs from the Geneva Graduate Institute and a Plan Certificate in Management from Plan Academy as well as executive education certificates from IMD Business School. I am fluent in English German French and Tamil.
