With a background in strategic planning & Design communications, my recent transition to academia as an Assistant Professor at Manipal Academy in Bengaluru allows me to combine my industry insights with a passion for Communications and research. The focus on developing cutting-edge curriculum and fostering innovative learning environments for media and journalism students is a cornerstone of my professional journey. My competencies include crafting effective content strategies and driving creative communications, complemented by skills in photography and video editing. These skills have been instrumental in my role, where the goal is to equip the next generation of professionals with both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise. Our team's commitment is to deliver an education that resonates in today's dynamic media landscape. A growing area of interest for me in recent times is UX Research, which explores the intersection of user behavior, design, and technology. Recognizing the growing importance of user-centric design in media and communication, I am increasingly drawn to this field as a focus for my PhD research. The pursuit of UX Research aligns with my vision to integrate academic rigor with the evolving needs of the industry. In particular, I am keen to explore how Artificial Intelligence is shaping the future of UX Research, especially in the realm of media, design communication, and product development. My academic and research endeavors are centered on understanding these transformative trends, with the ultimate goal of advancing both the theory and practice of Design communications in a world where user experience is becoming increasingly critical. Through my PhD, I aim to delve into the broader implications of UX in shaping the next generation of media professionals.
