About Subha Sivakumar

During my senior year of high school, I spent weeks agonizing over what I wanted my yearbook quote to be. I wanted it to be timeless—the last thing I wanted was to look back on it and find it embarrassing. I ended up going with a quote from my favorite author at the time, Zadie Smith:"I am the sole author of the dictionary that defines me." It's a quote I still find meaningful and relevant—not only to my personal life, but to my professional one, too. After all, in Public Relations, you are also the author of your client's dictionary, choosing the right words so that they can clearly and effectively communicate their ideas with the world. And as someone who has always been passionate about writing, I am acutely aware of how something that seems small (like the difference between two synonyms) can completely change the perception of a message. When I'm not drafting my next LinkedIn post, I'm most likely re-reading a Sally Rooney novel, baking something to satisfy my sweet tooth, or out on a walk by the Chelsea Piers. I am always interested in meeting new people, so feel free to reach out and connect!
