I am an incisive and analytical Senior Executive with extensive international tax and transfer pricing experience and am able to direct substantial growth, streamline operations, build high performance teams, and drive market penetration in the business advisory and manufacturing industries. A strategic and resourceful leader with demonstrable commercial success in profit and margin growth, regulatory compliance, customer relations, product development, and transaction management, I am able to establish productive cross-functional teams in diverse cultures, and in complex environments encompassing growth, mergers, acquisitions and restructuring. With more than three decades international experience advising some of the world’s largest companies, I have professional experience both as a Partner in a ‘Big 4’ business services firm and as the Head of Tax in a multinational company. This background has honed my capability to deal effectively with revenue regulatory authorities and advocate before tax tribunals and achieve optimal outcomes. I have a Bachelor of Commerce, with Honours, from Calcutta University 1984, and professional memberships with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India 1987 as a Chartered Accountant, and the Institute of Cost Accountants of India 1993 as a Cost Accountant. I am often engaged in public forums or the media to provide professional advocacy or advice pertaining to taxation matters. I am fluent in English, Hindi and Bengali.
