About Subharthi Roy

As an MTech student in VLSI Design at IIT Jodhpur, my aim is simple: To build innovative and efficient projects in the field of Digital ASIC Design that challenge and push me beyond my limits. I am interested in building a career in RTL Design, Verification, and Design for Testability (DFT). I specialize in languages like Verilog, Python, and C and am also proficient in using industry-standard tools such as Cadence Virtuoso. Currently, I am the Overall Coordinator at the Office of Training and Placement, a student volunteer at the International Relations Office, and a vocalist at Sangam (Music Club). Balancing these roles simultaneously has honed my time management, multitasking, and leadership skills. I thrive under pressure and strive to deliver results with precision and perfectionism. But my inclination hasn't always been towards this domain! My journey began with a focus and passion in semiconductor device modeling, as is evident from my BTech and internship projects at ISRO. After delving deep into the physics and workings of the billions of intricate transistors, my curiosity shifted to the next: What after the transistors are manufactured? Where are they integrated? How do billions of them contribute to powering our lives every day? How are they programmed so accurately? And that finally led me to my current degree, interests, and domain! This shift reflects my adventurous spirit and willingness to embrace challenges, pushing me to explore diverse areas of VLSI. Once hesitant about coding, I am now eager to explore the integration of AI and ML in FPGA and SoC designs, recognizing their transformative impact on the semiconductor industry. When I am not geeking out over chips, I sing, play the ukulele, read novels, and talk to people. I also love networking and collaborating with people in the VLSI domain.
