Held various senior positions in Government of India (GOI) since 21/08/1984 after clearing UPSC,first few years in Indian Economic Service(IES) and then shifted to IRS.I was working as Commissioner of Income Tax in Ahmedabad since 04/12/2012. Promoted to Principal CIT in Ahmedabad.Spent lot of time in advocacy,representing GOI in Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) at Mumbai,Pune and Ahmedabad benches.Also have experience of working at other cities such as Simla(HP),Chandigarh,New Delhi,Nagpur,Kalyan & Panvel (MS). Published work in e-Taxalogue, CBDT, New Delhi.I was last posted as Principal Commissioner of Income Tax,Ahmedabad,India. Have earlier worked in Ministry of Labour/Agriculture/Planning commission and Justice Bachhawat Commission on Wages for working & Non-working journalists,New Delhi. Started own consulting Services business under TradeMark “BainsIRS Consulting Services” based out of Vileparle Mumbai, India.Legal drafting services for CA/Adv/Taxpayers in direct taxation as it is the most important tenet of newly introduced system of Faceless assessment/Appeals/Penalties.we do undertake project management for any newly formed business group(s) on retainership basis. Simplifying interpretation of tax laws to get favourable decision is the strongest point of our organisation.Attorney preferably at ITAT stage of litigation!
