About Subhash Kulkarni

As a faculty member at Harvard Medical School I have been leading a research team for over a year focusing on enteric neuronal regulation of key gastrointestinal functions in health aging and disease. Our goal is to uncover the molecular and cellular mechanisms of enteric neural development maintenance and repair and to translate our findings into novel therapeutic strategies for gastrointestinal disorders. I have more than 10 years of experience in basic science and translational research in enteric neurobiology working as an assistant professor at Johns Hopkins Medicine before joining Harvard. I have published multiple peer-reviewed papers in prestigious journals such as Gastroenterology and have received several grants and awards for my work. I have also trained and mentored many students and postdocs in the field. I am passionate about advancing the knowledge and understanding of the enteric nervous system and its implications for human health and well-being.
