Over forty(40) years of experience in project engineering, liaison between owner and contract engineering firms, Instrumentation and Control systems engineering, review, coordination, construction, commissioning and start up for petrochemical plants, refineries, offshore and onshore oil and gas production operations, FPSO and drilling ships, coal, oil and gas fired power plants.Experience includes Distributed Control Systems (DCS) Engineering, involving Honeywell Experion, Foxboro I/A, Bailey Infi90, and Yokogawa Centum-CS systems. Involved with all aspects of the system, including initial planning, specification generation, technical evaluation, hardware selection and loading, configuration and database generation, display development, implementation of advance control strategies, acceptance testing, and documentation.Responsibilities include development and review of P & IDs, preparation of detailed design specifications, analysis of vendor’s proposals, preparation and review of control loop diagrams, logic diagrams and electrical control schematics for electronic instrumentation and control systems. Defined instruments and control system requirements and prepared control logic for PLC based control systems for major mechanical systems (such as compressors, turbines, boilers, furnaces, HRSG, water treatment systems), and F&G systems. Directed design engineering and drafting personnel and formulated design concepts in coordination with the client engineers. Experience also includes field assignment on grass roots ethylene plant, modernization of ethylene plant, Refinery controls upgrade, polypropylene plant, Paraxylene plant, Grass roots PTA plant and cracking furnaces, drilling ships and offshore oil and gas production platforms as an Instrumentation and Control system field engineer responsible for supervision of construction, installation, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, start up and initial operation of these plants.
