About Subir Kole

I am a public health professional with 20 years’ experience in designing robust monitoring and evaluation system for population, health, nutrition and development programs; designing and implementing operations research and evaluation studies; leading and managing large-scale surveys and data collection efforts; and implementing quality improvement methods. I possess strong conceptual, people and technical skills in leading teams of researchers, mid-career professionals, building capacity, providing technical inputs, and designing evaluation studies for policy advocacy. I possess strong abilities to work independently, assess work priorities, and have strong interpersonal and organizational skills while dealing with a broad coalition of government, NGOs, and international project partners. I have excellent writing, editorial, and communication skills. A demographer trained in feminist theories, statistics, public policy, and international relations, I bring in proven experience in policy analysis, strategic thinking, and deep understanding of contemporary discourses on gender, sexuality, health, nutrition, and development. I am fluent in English and know five Indian languages.
