I currently work as Associate Director- Global Medical Affairs, specifically responsible for global scientific training and excellence for GI portfolio at Takeda. This role is based out of Boston. I deeply passionate about using AI in medical affairs. I have a certification in AI from Duke University. I am involved in developing AI based solutions for transforming medical affairs at Takeda, and train medical affairs colleagues in using Gen AI efficiently. I am also Takeda's Principal Investigator for MIT-Takeda program on use of AI for accelerating Fabry Disease diagnosis.Earlier I worked as Regional Disease Expert for the ICMEA region at Takeda since from 2019 to 2021. I also led medical teams as Therapy Area Lead for Rare Genetic Diseases and Immunology Franchises for India.I am a doctor by qualification. I completed my MBBS in 2007. In 2016, I went on to complete my full time MBA from Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad with specialization in Marketing and Healthcare. I am a trained diabetologist having completed my post graduation in Diabetes Management from John Hopkins University. I also have a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Research. In 2015, I gave my GMAT and got selected to do my full time MBA from ISB Hyderabad. Post my MBA, I was selected by Novartis as Group Product Manager for GALVUS/ GALVUS-MET. Here I was responsible for marketing of around 500 cr diabetes portfolio. I left Novartis to test my entrepreneurial skills in a healthcare start-up based out of Chennai. There I served as General Manager- Medical Affairs and helped recruit a high performing medical team and set up clinical operations.I have worked as Senior Medical Advisor for Immunology at Bristol Myers Squibb for 3.5 years.
