About Suchandra Dutta

I lead the people and organisational function for Alif Semiconductor's India R&D centre — a high performance fabless semiconductor operation working on MCU and embedded AI solutions for global markets. My role sits at the intersection of building culture, ensuring operational excellence, and creating the conditions where deeply technical people can do their best work. In a 50-person R&D environment where talent is the product, getting the people architecture right is not a support function — it is a strategic one. Beyond the organisation, I actively represent Alif and India's broader semiconductor ecosystem in the conversations that matter — panels, university forums, industry events, and mentoring the next generation of professionals entering this space. India's semiconductor ambition is real. Closing the gap between that ambition and the talent pipeline that serves it is work I take seriously. I am a pro bono mentor to students and early career professionals navigating their entry into technical and professional careers. If you are figuring out your path — reach out.
