About Sue Spohn

Sue Spohn is currently the Director of Managed Care with Lutheran Senior Life, a leading provider of senior living and health care communities in Western Pennsylvania. Sue also has experience in acute care. She is skilled in working with and managing a variety of patient/client populations, including but not limited to victims of domestic violence; persons with severe and persistent mental illness; the homeless; and persons suffering with cancer, Alzheimer’s disease and other types of acute and chronic medical conditions and diagnoses. In addition to inpatient care, other settings for Sue’s practice have included community-based non-profits, community residential facilities and outpatient clinics. She works diligently to create win-win situations in problem solving and has strong supervisory and team-building skills. She received her BA in Sociology/Psychology from Clarion State College and MSW from the University of Pittsburgh. Sue is past president of the Society for Social Work Leadership in Health Care. She is also an active member of the National Association of Social work and Southwestern PA partnership for Aging SWAP.
