Background

About Sukhjeev Sidhu

I had started my career in intelligence as an intelligence assistant whilst working for DAC Beachcroft where I gained specialist training on intelligence gathering. I was then offered a role working as an Intelligence Researcher for British Transport Police on a national role where I was able to delve into the intelligence field in greater depth and gain an insight into police intelligence. As the subject field I am employed into is relatively unique, I have been able to develop both my research and analysis skills. This helped me in progressing to an Intelligence Analyst for the force where I have specialised in a range of different fields such as sexual offences, serious violence and weapons. I have also worked on vulnerability cases giving me an insight into how mental health can affect the lives of individuals and how the police should support these people in the best way they can. Whilst employed as an analyst, I have become experienced in the use of analytical softwares such as i2, Business Objects, Microsoft Excel, Chorus and Map info. I believe that I am accomplished in the fields of in-depth research, analysis and thinking critically. Furthermore, I am proficient with all Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. I am also trained on the use of police systems and internet intelligence investigating. I hope in the future to build my skills to advance even more and continue to use motivation to progress.
