About Sukhmani Grover

Sukhmani is leading the Fundraising and Partnership Development for San Francisco Bay Wildlife Society and working with the fundraising team at Indigenous Friends Association (IFA). Prior to this, she led the programs team at YLAC (Young Leaders for Active Citizens) as the Director, Citizen Engagement. She is an Impact oriented leader with 10+ years of experience in immersive education, citizen engagement, community development and strategic partnerships with a key focus on designing scalable programs and building winning teams for a larger social impact. She is a graduate from the College of Business Studies, University of Delhi and holds MA in Sociology. Previously, as part of the leadership team at YLAC & Haiyya, she expanded the organization’s reach and gave strategic direction to its citizen & youth led initiatives, projects and campaigns. Sukhmani has also worked with the Tony Blair Faith Foundation on interfaith dialogue and with UNICEF for building a citizen’s charter in collaboration with government agencies. She learned community organizing from the Harvard Kennedy School under the mentorship of Professor Marshall Ganz. With her passion to revolutionize education and advocacy space and eye for scalable initiatives, she has extensively worked with youth in the areas of diversity, health, equality, gender, wellbeing, digital safety & sustainability! She brings on board diverse skill sets ranging from people to project management, maintaining client & funder relations, expertise with learning management systems, keeping vision for scale and passion for transforming lives at the heart of everything that she does.
