About Sukla Dey

Have 20+ years of experience working with partners, public and private officials and schools across the country. I worked to expand the visibility, scope, and local funding for "Books for Asia" BFA Bangladesh. I have extensive experience in facilitating capacity building events, training sessions/workshops and is instrumental in local fundraising and engaging different stakeholders. I led TAF’s pilot project “Access 4 Asia” and also the “Strengthening Garments Workers” project to create awareness among RMG workers regarding rights, benefits and legal support. I also lead The Asia Foundation's Books for Asia and Let's Read program in Bangladesh. I am an experienced Program Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit organization management industry. Skilled in Nonprofit Organizations, Communication, Fundraising, International Development, and Program Management. I do both-way translation of education and development related materials with excellent fluency in both Bangla and English. I also arrange and conduct national level events with Govt. officials and other stakeholders. I take lead for educational content development workshops, review and edits the created contents; report writing as per requirement of donors and HQ. Do capacity building workshop for young writers and Illustrators including renowned writers and illustrators of the country. I take lead on developing material including children’s storybooks and picture books for primary and secondary level students and teachers and for the general audience.
