About Sukumar Daniel

I help enterprises move from application-centric fortresses to streaming, semantic nervous systems. My work focuses on making data live beyond the short lifespan of applications, ensuring it remains meaningful, traceable, and useful for decades. Over the past years, I have developed frameworks such as Collaborative Autonomy (CA) and the String Theory of Event Streams (STOES), both centered on the principle that autonomy and collaboration are not opposites but necessary twins. These ideas now converge in the Semantic Enterprise Nervous System Architecture (SENSA RA). SENSA RA is a reference architecture for establishing a Semantic Event Streaming Data Mesh (SESDM). It does not prescribe semantics itself — instead, it provides the practical method for turning chosen semantic standards into streaming-first architectures. The principle is “bring your own semantic standard”: from industry frameworks to organizational models. For the first release, I use BIAN as the example, leveraging its established service domains and ISO grounding. The technology foundation is Kafka freeware, extended through SaaS providers such as Confluent and Axual. SENSA RA remains vendor-neutral by design: its principles are open, and its methods can be applied on any compliant streaming platform. Importantly, SENSA RA will be published as freeware — free for anyone to use. My philosophy is simple: knowledge is public property, expertise is personal property. I believe in making ideas accessible to all, while applying expertise with care and responsibility. In this journey, I am happy to be “Daniel,” like in Asimov’s story — working alongside partners (including my AI sidekick, Curly) who open doors to knowledge I would never have accessed alone. Together, we make the future of enterprise architecture both human and free.
