About Sully Saremi

As an External Relations Support Officer at The University of Sheffield (UoS), I have over 4 years of experience in clerical, educational, and administrative roles, where I developed data management and outreach skills that enable me to enhance the university's engagement and outreach efforts with various stakeholders. I have a BA in English and Linguistics, and I am fluent in English, German, and Farsi, and have elementary proficiency in Spanish and Korean, which allows me to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and cultures. In my current role, I lead on the administration of The Dean's List annual cycle. I use various data management tools such as DotDigital, Graduway, Raiser's Edge, and Salesforce to update and maintain the university's database of SUMS alumni and Dean's List winners, and to gather intelligence on their progress and achievements on social media. I also provide administrative support to the Business Partnership Managers and the External Relations and Alumni Manager, and assist with the planning and delivery of events, webinars, and newsletters. Additionally, I am passionate about volunteering and social impact, having participated in multiple, long-term opportunities that required flexibility, approachability, and a commitment to helping people. I am motivated by the mission of UoS to create positive change in the world through research, teaching, and collaboration.
