About Suman Doonga

As the national vice chairperson of SPIC MACAY, I lead the media and communication strategy for the largest non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Indian classical arts and culture among the youth. With over nine years of experience in this role, I have developed and executed effective publicity campaigns across print, electronic, and social media platforms, reaching out to millions of people and raising awareness about the rich and diverse heritage of India. I am also passionate about supporting and empowering the artists and artisans who are the custodians of our cultural legacy, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. I have initiated and coordinated several initiatives and events to provide financial assistance, recognition, and exposure to hundreds of artists from different art forms and regions. Furthermore, I have been invited to speak at prestigious institutes and forums, such as the London School of Economics, Indian Institute of Mass Communication, and many others, to inspire and sensitize the students and the public towards the importance of culture and nationalism. Through my work, I aim to foster a sense of appreciation, respect, and pride for the Indian classical arts and culture among the current and future generations.
