I am multilingual as I am fluent in English and Hindi and I also speak Punjabi and Farsi. I grew up in Kabul Afghanistan and then moved to India at a young age. After getting married, I moved here to the US. At my current job as a Paraprofessional in Perkiomen Valley School District, I run small guided reading groups throughout the school day in 2nd through 5th grades. I also work one-on-one with students who need extra help. I am responsible for math intervention and enrichment in grades 3-5. In this role I have mastered the ability to deal with behavior issues while maintaining focus. I also use my leadership skills to teach students the benefit of collaborating and problem solving in small group settings. I am comfortable in any classroom setting as I often step in as a substitute for classroom and special area teachers on short notice. If hired I would be an asset to any organization since I bring with me a diverse cultural background, my leadership skills and my expertise in learning strategies. I will make myself available for any questions you may have. I also have all my clearances up to date and can provide them to you when needed.
