About Sumer Dass

ABOUT: As a highly motivated Roundnet Athlete and former Varsity Team Captain, he champions adaptability, big-picture strategy, and persistence. His prior roles, leadership experiences, and case competitions have fostered a strong mix of technical and strategic management skills; from coding, financial modeling, forecasting, and pattern/insight analysis to consulting, project management, executive presentation, and directing complex company-wide initiatives. JOURNEY SO FAR: His absolute favorite thing to do is to learn something new! This has always been true - whether it be developing a new skill as the Roundnet varsity team captain at UBC (go Thunderbirds!), or exploring a new Python module and building a Power BI report as a Finance and Business Technology double major at the Sauder School of Business, UBC, Vancouver. While he initially only intended to pursue Finance as his primary field of study, he decided to do a double major in Business Technology Management as well, after falling in love with the world of technology through "Krishi"- his agri-tech startup that seeks to revolutionize the Indian farming sector #OneGrainAtATime! Through Krishi's instrumentality, he discovered that he thrives best in fast-paced environments that encourage him to adapt to new situations and apply innovative and critical thinking to develop holistic, data-driven recommendations.
