About Sumer Vaid

I am a computational media psychologist, working as a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard Business School. Previously, I graduated with a PhD and MA from Stanford, and a BA and MA in Psychology from the University of Chicago. Broadly speaking, my research deploys digital media to study and alter psychological processes and outcomes. I am skilled in a wide range of computational techniques ranging from correlational analysis to causal inference to machine learning. Methodologically, I am passionate about using smartphones and ubiquitous computing technologies to revolutionize psychological research. I am an advocate for diversifying psychological science research by recruiting participants from the Global South. Check out for more.
