About Sumit Chaudhary

Currently pursuing my M.Tech in Polymer Science and Engineering at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, IIT Delhi (2024-2026), I am passionate about advancing the field of polymers through both academic research and industrial applications. My focus is on the synthesis, processing, and performance of functional polymers, including biopolymers, biodegradable materials, and smart elastomers. I am particularly excited by the role of polymers in energy storage, environmental sustainability, and 3D printing technologies. Before starting my studies at IIT Delhi, I gained over two years of hands-on industry experience as a Polymer Engineer at the Center for Research and Innovation (CRI). In this role, I led R&D efforts on polymers and elastomers, focusing on both material development and product formulation. My work involved conducting experiments to drive innovation, performing product failure analysis, and presenting comprehensive test results. Additionally, I have strong expertise in polymer characterization, using advanced analytical tools to assess the thermal and environmental properties of materials.
