Responsibilities in Vestas included developing new accounts and Sales Pipeline for the company, executing Pre-Bid agreements, negotiating & signing Contracts won under TBCB auctions conducted by SECI / NTPC and handing over to Execution Teams. Additionally, also steered Govt. Business for Vestas with PSU’s like NTPC, ONGC, GAIL etc. which was a strategic foray into a new market for Wind Business in India. Earlier, starting in 2010, had a 6.5 years long stint with GE (General Electric) in various Businesses. First with Energy Management vertical, which lasted 5 Years, i got a challenging opportunity to start from scratch and create installed base/market for Prolec GE Transformers in the Northern States of India with bigwigs of the industry/ State Electricity Boards (SEB's) while leading the responsibility for Business Development/Sales & Channels Development. Was entrusted with an additional responsibility for steering Pan-India responsibility for the Sales function of M&D (Monitoring & Diagnostics) Product portfolio in the Energy Management vertical for GE, Kelman. M&D portfolio primarily included Portable & Online Dissolved Gas Analyzers for Power/Distribution Transformers. In the last 1.5 years of my tenure with GE, worked with GE-Power Business while handling IPP's like Hindalco, Vedanta, GMR for offering various solutions for their existing Steam & Gas Turbines fleet.
