Strategic understanding of a wide gamut of retail asset products- I have set up and run a wide variety of retail asset business starting from New Commercial vehicles,construction equipment,Used CV, Tractors,New and Used Auto loans, Unsecured SME loans,Medical and Printing equipment. Setting up and scaling up new businesses while keeping portfolio and cost parameters in place is a critical requirement. I have done this across product groups both for Sales and distribution as well as risk management. Being able to communicate and articulate the big picture and connect this to clear actionable to various stake holders is important. In my various roles I have been able to do this successfully to Bankers, Board Members, Analysts, Rating Agencies and potential investors. Clear understanding of risk and credit underwriting processes-I have played various roles in risk and business across products as well as in benign and not so benign environments, giving me a good understanding of portfolio management and underwriting processes. Portfolios managed by me in Risk/Collections have ranged from INR Cr to INR Cr. People Management-I have set up large teams for distribution as well as specialized teams for project management, risk etc). Processes for monitoring large teams, review and performance reward mechanisms are key skill sets required. Team sizes have ranged from 600 to plus. Managing P/L for large businesses-Understanding drivers to profitability and importantly what needs to be done to change the underperforming parameters. Putting in place structural changes that give a long lasting and sustainable results. Leading re structuring exercises on people structure, processes, cost is something that I have done on a large scale. Crisis management/seeing through the whole cycle-Having spent substantial time in three organizations brings a whole new perspective to accountability and decision making. Ability to see things through is something acquired through experience. Technology-Understanding how technology can be leveraged to improve efficiency of large teams, using data to direct effort in the market from sourcing to underwriting to collection effort is a skill set that I have.
