PORTFOLIO: https://summerbourgon.myportfolio.com I am a graduate of the Bachelor of Architectural Studies program at Carleton University with a specialization in Conservation & Sustainable Design. Throughout the course of my program, extracurricular activities, and work experience I have been developing my passion for sustainable design, heritage conservation, BIM, and international development. As an employee in the Conservation and Sustainable Design fields, I understand that in order for society to develop and reach it's full potential we need to take advantage of existing opportunities and capitalize on new ways to improve economically, socially, and environmentally. My contribution to this development will be to optimize our use of existing architecture as well as invest in new sustainable solutions. Specifically, I hope to pursue a career in investigating sustainable adaptive re-use and retrofit projects while also developing my knowledge in other aspects including BIM technology, project management, construction, universal design, international development, and more. Apart from my work aspirations I enjoy traveling, exploring, and outdoor adventures. My spare time is spent hiking, shooting photography, and playing sports. I strongly believe that my personal endeavors also help to make me an extraordinary asset to any team. I am actively seeking work with a company who values personal development, and implores all of their employees to engage in volunteer work and office culture.
