About Summer Grewe

One of my first jobs was as a cashier at target. During that time I discovered a genuine passion for engaging with people. The opportunity to assist individuals as they encountered challenges, and collaborating with them to arrive at a mutually satisfying resolution was something that resonated with me. During that period of my life I was uncertain about my future career path, until an acquaintance's experience after a car accident sparked an interest in the transformative power of massage therapy. Embracing this inspiration, I pursued certification. Few experiences rival the satisfaction of assisting someone who was struggling to engage in activities they love on their healing journey, and witnessing their eventual flourishing. Hearing about their renewed ability to actively enjoy their hobbies is indescribably rewarding.Massage served as a wonderful transitional phase in my life while I sought to uncover my true passion and direction In my quest to explore and prepare for my future career path, I engaged in volunteer work. By far my favorite of which being a listener at the Augustana nursing home, being a source of companionship for individuals without nearby family or those seeking additional social interaction was both fun and fulfilling. It provided me with the chance to connect and forge friendships with individuals I otherwise wouldn't have ever had a reason to meet. It was also where I discovered a love of coffee! I highly recommend volunteering at a nursing home; you have no idea what “unfiltered” means until you've spent some time in one. Before committing to a major I explored job listings and meticulously noted the qualifications required for ones that piqued my interest. One recurring criterion across these positions was a degree in psychology. Recognizing this pattern, I pursued a Bachelors in psychology from Metropolitan State University. All of these experiences helped guide me to my current role, and I am now proud to be an Administrative Site Lead at Nystrom and Associates. I feel incredibly blessed to be a part of a company whose goals resonate so deeply with my own. Humility, Optimism, People-centered care, and Ethical practice are some of the values this company holds dearly, and I plan to uphold these values in my own role.
