Hello there! My name is Sumner Holtzman. I am a recent graduate from the University of Michigan, holding a bachelor's degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering (IOE) with a minor in Computer Science. I have just recently begun my career as an analyst in the Hosting Division of Alfa Financial Software.Through a rigorous degree program in industrial engineering, I attained a thorough background in continuous improvement, data analytics, and technical communication. Via completion of IOE 461 (Quality Engineering Analysis) at Michigan, I am trained at the Six Sigma Black Belt level, and am prepared to begin Black Belt projects to obtain certification. Interning at Intel my junior summer further diversified my portfolio with practical professional experience in business analytics, project management, and the Agile development framework.While my studies in computer science made me a proficient developer in C/C++, I am also an adept user of a range of languages for data processing and statistical analysis, including Minitab, Python, R, SQL, and VBA. To solidify my skillset for finance roles, I strongly pursued and exceled in elective coursework such as accounting, corporate finance, and derivative instruments theory. Finally, in addition to technical expertise, I seek to set myself apart through soft skills such as my collaborative spirit and natural tendency for leadership, both of which were developed across my high-involvement extracurriculars and decidedly customer-facing campus positions. Put simply, my repertoire is as robust as it is varied - consider me your jack-of-all-trades!In my free time, I am an avid sneaker enthusiast, aspiring photographer, and ardent outdoorsman, currently on a quest to visit all 423 national park sites in the United States. I also fancy myself an excellent playlist curator - as long as you like a bit of every genre!
