About Sumod Kulkarni

As a Software Engineer at Drivemode, a company developing software-defined vehicles, I'm building a custom OS that will runs on Honda's current and upcoming Electric Vehicles. Enabling drivers to control their vehicle's functions, such as driving experience, navigation, music, messaging etc. Previously, I was a Senior Mobile Engineer and Team Lead at Moneytree, a personal finance app that helps users manage their money across multiple accounts and services, where I led a team of Mobile and Backend developers. I also worked as a Software Engineer for SmartNews, a news curation app with over 35 million monthly active users. There, I designed, developed, and maintained features related to news and weather, such as adding support for followable topics and releasing a live camera map feature. I have a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, during which I learned the fundamentals of software development and engineering. I also have several certifications from Oracle and Google that demonstrate my proficiency and expertise in Java and Android development. I am passionate about creating user-friendly and high-quality software that solve real-world problems and provide value to users. I enjoy working with diverse and talented teams, learning new technologies and best practices, and constantly challenging myself to grow and improve as a developer.
