About Sun Kim

With physician training licenses still active in Florida and California it’s clear that I am an ethical good physician who cares about patients. However, I have left residency to pursue my own passion and to work as an educational liaison between patients and hospitals to cut costs and improve patient care. If I had left simply because I was a bad doctor who messed up and hurt my patient, I would have been cited and my licenses terminated. This is my passion and dream to revolutionize the healthcare system. As a former categorical Resident Physician at Riverside Community Hospital in General Surgery and at FIU in Internal Medicine and Primary Care, I have experience being part of a surgical and medical care team that provides high-quality and compassionate care to patients with a variety of conditions. I have gained procedural and operative experience in different subspecialties, such as Trauma, Vascular, Thoracic, Plastic, and Oncology. I have done rotations in Cardiology, Nephrology, and have even found malpractice in my own chart numerous times. I have also contributed to the medical education of students and peers and have authored a number of publications and been the principal investigator for research projects. My work has been patented by the US Government when I worked for the national laboratories. I have saved patient's lives on airplanes, and done some remarkable work in the healthcare industry.I am starting my own company and venturing into the tech arena to merge medicine and AI. This encompasses imaging, pharmacology, personalized medicine, genomics, future risk modeling, malpractice law, etc. I am also a model and actress in SAG-AFTRA represented by FL: Applegate Model and Talent, Benz Talent and Model, Abstract Agency in LA, and Bailey's Entertainment Group. I am currently reviewing other contracts and opportunities with major agencies. I value honesty, respect, and kindness in my interactions with others, whether they are patients, colleagues, or mentors. I strive to make a positive difference in someone's day, and I appreciate the opportunity to work with a diverse and collaborative team. My goal is to start my own company and bring value to the world with safer, personalized, and informed patient care. The healthcare system we have today is inadequate for a single physician to make a difference, and I think that my work on a larger scale will be most useful having learned all I needed to learn about hospital operations from the physician's standpoint in a quick span of time.
