About Sunil Chatani

I graduated distinguished dean’s list from University of Maryland with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and on a designated pre-law program from the University. Currently I am a Supervisory Traffic Management Coordinator (STMC) with over 13 years of total experience at Potomac Consolidated TRACON (PCT) and Dallas/Fort Worth TRACON (D10). I am a previous NATCA Area Representative with extensive experience understanding the objectives / goals and working collaboratively to raise the standards. Extensive experience negotiating CBA required local MOU’s and interpreting them on behalf of the NATCA local and as a Management official. My NATCA experience is wide ranging including specified training and specialist designee for PCT as the Training Review Board rep, OWCP rep and Drug and Alcohol rep. I was also the Fusion Radar Subject Matter Expert and responsible for the implementation of it at PCT. As a controller I was a On Job Training Instructor (OJTI) and Certified In Charge (CIC). As an Operations Supervisor at PCT I held duties including Training Supervisor, Gatekeeper, Webscheduler, SUPCOM area representative and FAAMA Vice President. As a current Supervisory Traffic Management Coordinator I have extensive experience and have been successful in the many requirements of the role including conducting Traffic Management Reviews (TMR) and Situation Impact Reports (SIR), discussions with stakeholders including American Airlines, Southwest, DFW Airport, and DAL Airport. I am also experienced in the tools, decision making and conversations required when working in the operation and the Traffic Management Unit.
