About Sunil Iyer

For the past 6 years, I have been working as a consulting grant writer and communications for development (C4D) specialist with various NGOs in Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata. I align their programmes and developmental goals with respect to SDG goals. Prior to this, for almost two decades, I travelled across India with my camera and pen to delve into the symbiosis between my people and their cultural roots, their belief systems, their environment and the political clime that affects every other parameter in the developmental sector. I also ghost-write for wannabe authors and my travel stories and images have been featured in several major national and international magazines and guidebooks. I have authored 11 books on art, culture and travel. Key strengths: • Impeccable verbal and written English (Working knowledge of Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, and Bengali) • Ability to collate, comprehend and compress a large amount of data very quickly. • Detailed budgeting for proposals. • Ideating, drafting concept notes and proposals that work for your NGO and facilitating effective communicating with your stakeholders. • Content writing and editing, and creating standard templates for staffers. • Designing project monitoring tools for quantitative and qualitative analysis. • I am also proficient in design software, and regularly work on Abobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Corel Draw to create theme-based cover pages for the proposals I draft, annual report designs, brochures and IEC material. • As a photojournalist and author, I can create inimitable stories for your organisation that can help you gain greater credibility.
