24 years of development sector experience - with 14 years in leadership position providing Strategic direction to two States ( Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh) by heading two UNFPA State offices with each state having a population of more than 70 million. Experience in development of Policies and Policy Dialogue, designing innovative initiatives,large-scale program implementation, developing monitoring systems and forging partnerships in the area of Population and Development strategies, Sexual and Reproductive health programs, Life skills education, Adolescent and Gender initiatives. Facilitated large-scale family planning, maternal health, adolescent health & development, and Gender initiatives with Government and Civil society organizations in the multiple States of India. Co-ordinated Joint UN programmes in the area of HIV/AIDS, addressing Child marriage and gender. Innovations and Achievements 1. Mobile based edutainment channel through a missed call telephony system to reach out to young people on social, health and gender issues in Rajasthan ( 2019 to 2021) 2. Tele counseling for the first dose of injectables during Covid times in Rajasthan ( 2019) 3. Girl friendly panchayats rolled out in identified panchayats in Rajasthan which later scaled up by the State Government ( 2018 ) 4.Mentoring of the labour rooms by in service staff through tools to enhance the quality of the maternal health services in labour rooms in 7 districts in Rajasthan ( 2015 - 2021) 5. Addressing Gender based violence through the development of collectives in the gram panchayats in Rajasthan 6. Development and Deployment of IT enabled MIS system/dashboard for monitoring the adolescent and gender outputs of Women Empowerment schemes and programmes of Women and Child Development Department 7. Initiated the Pilot of E-Sadhan, a MIS system for monitoring contraceptives in Rajasthan in partnership with NHM ( on the lines of similar initiative in Odisha), which was later scaled up through FPLMIS (Family Planning Logistics Management Information System) across the country based on E-Sadhan's learnings.
