About Sunil Joshi

With over 20 years of experience in business development, sales and distribution across broadcasting, IT and telecom sectors, I am a seasoned leader and strategist in the media industry. I currently serve as the Head of Distribution for South Asia at BBC Studios, where I am responsible for the sustainable growth, business strategy, digital product development, business planning for BBC Studio’s channels and managing regulatory challenges in the region. As a member of BBC’s India board, I manage the finance, HR, and general administration of affiliate sales in South Asia, and oversee the planning and execution of linear, digital and hybrid distribution solutions. I work with a diverse range of partners, including Multi System Cable Operators, DTH players, leading Telcos, OTT streamers and connected TVs, to deliver value-added services and innovative content distribution models. My mission is to drive business growth and innovation for BBC Studios in South Asia, and leverage my expertise in broadcasting and digital platforms to create impactful and engaging experiences for audiences.
