Sunil Kapur is CEO of McCarthy Tétrault, one of Canada’s pre-eminent national law firms. He oversees the firm’s direction and mission to deliver innovative and strategic solutions for our clients. As CEO, Sunil is responsible for leading our diverse and talented team of lawyers and professionals in our offices in Canada and abroad. He has more than a decade of senior leadership experience at the firm and 25 years of experience representing and advising clients, including many Fortune 500 companies, on sophisticated and high-stakes employment law matters. He has advised and represented employers in the sectors of financial services, manufacturing, transportation, education, health care, security, information technology, resources, and public service, leveraging multi-disciplinary expertise to deliver client-focused solutions. He has been at the forefront of precedent-setting negotiations, labour board proceedings, arbitration, mediation, collective bargaining, employment litigation, judicial reviews, civil appeals, and human rights. He is repeatedly recognized for his expertise in Chambers Canada, Chambers Global and other leading directories. He is a former part-time member of the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, and was a founding member of the Advisory Committee to the Ontario Labour Relations Board.
