About Sunil Mehta

During exponential growth and rapid change in automation systems over the past 20 years, I have demonstrated success as both an SME and Project Leader. The need for success in digital transformation of systems with leading-edge technology for process automation is pivotal within global, highly-regulated manufacturing industries. Across diverse industry verticals, I directly deliver, collaborate with, and lead teams in large-scale, process control project implementations from conception to completion, successfully meeting on-time, in-scope, and on-budget deliverables. Similar to what is emphasized in a book by a favorite author of mine, Malcolm Gladwell, The Tipping Point- in leading projects I know that many small actions taken at the right time, can drive big results. A foundational Engineering Specialist, Certified Automation Professional (CAP), and tenured Project Lead at a smart manufacturing and industrial automation solutions provider, I continually increase my technical expertise. I honed my ability to facilitate customer success leveraging my subject matter expertise, in conjunction with my strength in people interfacing, and am frequently the point-of-contact for programs. Communicating in alignment to the message-receivers’ level of technical knowledge, and with my forte in engaging effectively with internal / external clients, I empathetically put myself in the end users’ “shoes”, so that I may best understand where process improvement is required to engineer a system optimal in intuitiveness and ease of use. I influence team productivity, by driving consensus, identifying priorities for uninterrupted project delivery, leaning on attention to detail, and utilizing the KISS principle as well as championing organizing and executing with priority- resulting in significantly increased project profit margins. At this point in my career I am most passionate about the creativity I bring when managing teams in key projects, as in practice I find this to be my professional best-fit.
