About Sunil Patki

For someone who is a microbiologist and has worked in the pharmaceuticals industry, coming into publishing was nothing less than the destiny’s call. Sunil’s journey through various publishing firms has been a very interesting one indeed, starting off as an ‘Education Representative’ at Tata McGraw-Hill to becoming the National Head for Macmillan Higher Education. Hailing from Mumbai, he settled in Delhi 15 years ago, and believes Delhi to be the ‘Mecca of publishing’. A man who says he would have been a professional photographer had he not been in publishing…The above para is from my latest interview with the magazine Book Link.Post my exit in June 2016 as the Group Business Head at S Chand Publishing, I am a part time consultant to few businesses. Interestingly I never planned my career but always excelled, moving up in the industry. From being a trainee at a pharmaceutical company to a Group Business Head happened steadily. Earlier in late 90s and early I have headed two international publishing houses. I set their first India offices. At this stage of my life-career, work needs to have a different costume. I strongly believe in destiny so, if something didn’t happen, it simply wasn’t destined to be. I may not be able to quit a few not so good habits, but I never quit on people. I stay connected with them, with all my efforts.I have stayed passionate, innovative, and system oriented in all my assignments. Have approached businesses with clear strategies. Have actioned and lead several initiatives. As a leader built successful teams. Unbiased and fair is what I am branded. Have delivered steady growth and EBITDA YoY.Mail: sunil.patki@gmail.com/sunil.patki@evelynlearning.comMobile:+91 9810585010
