I am a Chartered Accountant with over 14 years of experience specializing in Indirect Taxation (GST, Customs, FTP, and legacy laws) across diverse industries such as Paints, Chemicals, Textiles, Insulators, Renewables etc. engaged in Manufacturing, Trading and Service sectors. My professional journey spans leading global firms like Ernst & Young, Grant Thornton, KNAV, and large multinationals including Chemours India (DuPont) and Aditya Birla Group (Grasim Industries), where I currently serve as Deputy General Manager – Indirect Tax. My core expertise lies in compliance, litigation management, policy advisory, automation and use of Tax tools and tax structuring. I have successfully handled high-stakes matters including closure of DRI and DGGI investigations, resolution of high stakes GST audit notices, successful closure of multi year Customs Audit of 25 units without any substantial demand, drafting and implementation of the GST Compliance SOP and obtaining successful closure of around Cr SVB compliances. I have managed 200+ GST audits and investigations, secured AEO Tier-2 certification renewals under adverse circumstances and closed 1,574 legacy EPCG & Advance Licenses significantly de-risking businesses. Beyond compliance, I partner with leadership teams to design tax-efficient structures for new businesses and joint ventures, ensuring alignment of operations with long-term strategic goals. I have contributed to business-critical initiatives in Paints, Chemicals and Trading businesses, providing forward-looking advisory and supply chain optimization. Technology enablement is a key focus — from implementing reverse charge mechanisms in SAP, to driving e-invoicing & QR compliance, and developing digital reconciliation tools that strengthen governance and efficiency. I have been recognized with the ABG PRIDE Award for excellence at Aditya Birla Group and the EY Sparkle Award during my early career.
