As the Founder and Executive Director of Children of Homicide Victims (COHV), I am committed to restoring love, faith, and hope to children who have lost parents to violence. My mission is to break the cycle of generational trauma and violence through innovative programs that provide emotional, physical, intellectual, and character-based support. COHV has been recognized for its impact, receiving the Kansas City’s People’s Choice Award for Best Community Organization Award (2020). With a passion for service and community building, I have also been honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award from Grandview High School (2024), the Woman of Courage Award from the Delta Sigma Theta Alumni Chapter of Kansas City and the Show Me Shoes Foundation Millennials Making Moves Award (2019) Through COHV and various community partnerships, I lead initiatives that support grieving children, empower Black and Brown youth, and foster violence prevention strategies. My work reflects a lifelong dedication to creating safe, supportive environments for youth to thrive emotionally and mentally, ensuring they are equipped to be leaders and changemakers in their communities.
