My post doctoral research focused on the identification of biomarker involved in the pathogenesis of cancer in order to assess their relevance to improve the clinical management of cancer patients. I have the expertise of studying role of microRNAs in diagnosis, prognosis, prediction and treatment of colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease and therapeutics aspects of CD133+ stem cell. I have been involved in a range of activities, such as teaching general laboratory methods and supervision of medical and biology students and guiding in experimental planning, analysis and presentation of results. In addition to experience with most current molecular biological techniques and studies on patient materials, my accomplished background includes fluency and solid communication capabilities as being an individual in a cross-cultural environment and multi-disciplinary areas. Specialties: Primary Cell Isolation and Culture (Hematopoietic Stem Cell and Myofibroblast, CD133 cells from cord blood, Hepatic Stellate Cells. Luciferase gene reporter Assay micro RNA isolation from tissues and cells, RT-PCR. Real time-PCR, Western Blot Analysis, Immunofluorescence, Immunohistochemistry. ELISA Flow Cytometry (FACs), Wound healing study, cell migration assay. Analytical Studies: Arsenic Estimation of Human Hair, Nail, Blood and Urine by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (GBC, Avanta, Australia and Perkin Elmer, USA). Study of Metalloproteinase Activity by Gelatin Zymography. Somatic and meiotic chromosome aberration study of mice, Micronucleus testing, Mitotic Index, Sperm head anomaly study, study of NOR and C-banding patterns of mice chromosomes. Bioinformatic and Statistical analysis: Statistica 10, Protein-protein interaction study, pathway analysis.
