A B.TECH (Hons.) in Mechanical Engg. from IIT Kharagpur in 1969. Trained in Advanced Personnel Management at the Royal Institute of Public Administration - London, UK in 1987. Internship on “Process Work” of ISISD (Indian Society for Individual & Social Development) for the role of a "Change Agent". An alumnus of IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland, London Business School, Cranfield University, UK and European Centre for Management (American Mngt Association), Brussels, Multidisciplinary exposure - Factory Production, Marketing- Consumer and Industrial Products, Personnel Administration, Industrial Relations, Internal Communications, HRD and Organisational Development. Eventually specialised in HRD and Organizational Behaviour. Had held dual charge as Chief of HRD in IBP and Chief of Group Management Training for all the Group Companies. After a stint as Vice President HRD/OD in a Private Sector Group, devoted fully to Business Consultancy (including in HRD and OD), Corporate Training, Management Education & Social Services Was an Advisor with Zydus Cadila Group & B K Birla Group Now associated with several Organizations -as Director (CHORD)- own firm- as Organizational Consultant and Corporate Trainer. An External Coach cum Mentor-Counsellor for Top Performers of Senior Management Team in a few Best in Class Companies. Trained various Employee levels and Entrepreneurs, on diverse subjects. A Professional member of NIPM Kolkata Chapter, National HRD Network, Sumedhas, a Life Member of ISTD and Founder Member of NGO for the Homeless Mentally Ill- Ishwar SANKALPA. Have Conceptualised, Scripted and Produced Video/TV films (Corporate/Training and of Social relevance)-Nationally telecast or are in use in the Corporate Sector. Have been associated with Counselling, Career Guidance and Placement activities. Have anchored the making of CDs on "Creativity" and on "Counselling" which are being used worldwide.
