About Surekha Dutte

In my last role, I worked as the Principal Program Manager/RTE for the Cloud Protection Team. I have experience working as a product owner and QA engineer with Symantec. As a Release Train Engineer, I was primarily responsible for managing the product and feature deliveries for the highly technical teams, making sure teams and stakeholders were aligned, working with cross-teams to discuss the dependencies and requirements, identifying program-level risks, and creating a mitigation plan for them during each incremental program. Being a part of the technical team, I also participated in design and architectural discussions. Apart from RTE responsibilities, I was involved in the Black Box Investigation process implementation, which was initiated across the SED group. Previously, I worked on two migration projects. One involved migrating from legacy systems to AWS, and during the second phase, we migrated our products from AWS to GCP (Google Cloud). As a QA, I handled the Symantec Unified project, which involved processing, munging, and mining PBs of unstructured data and storing it in HDFS, HBase, Kafka, or MapReduce in the most efficient, fast retrieval format. Hands-on experience with big data open source technologies like Pig, Hive, Spark, and Hbase Key tools and technologies I have worked on: • Jira Align • Jira • Confluence • GCP technologies • AWS • Hadoop • SQL
