About Surette Botha

Surette Botha is a former educator turned recruitment consultant with a unique focus on helping teachers and education professionals advance their careers across regions. With over 20 years of experience in teaching and lecturing, Surette has developed a deep understanding of the education sector and the skills needed to thrive in diverse teaching environments. She now leverages that expertise as an Associate Consultant at Deka Minas, the world’s first subscription-based professional services company, where she specializes in Human Capital Advisory and recruitment services. Surette's career began in education, where she served as a Lecturer in Cosmetology at South West Gauteng TVET College and later as a Teacher and SETA Facilitator and Assessor. During this time, she honed her skills in communication, instructional design, and people development, making a significant impact on students’ academic and personal growth. In her transition to the recruitment sector, Surette brought her experience as an educator to the table, becoming a Senior Leadership Development Specialist at Boldr. Here, she worked on developing leadership programs and employee wellness initiatives (Coaching), helping individuals build the interpersonal and professional skills required for success in the workplace. Today, Surette combines her passion for education with her expertise in recruitment to assist teachers in navigating the complexities of career transitions and opportunities in international and trans local markets. Her mission is to help educators explore new career paths and contribute to the global education community, whether it’s through recruitment, career coaching, or leadership development.
