About Suruchi Gupta

I am a physician-scientist working at the nexus of primary health care and digital health. I am deeply motivated to improve the quality of primary care, reduce amenable mortality, and combat health inequities in developing countries. Driven by population-level impact, I voluntarily quit clinical medicine after 6 years of rigorous medical practice in India. I continue to leverage these practical experiences in my thinking and ground my work in real-life challenges. I enjoy mixed-methods research and am most inclined to answer the "why" in problems. I have expertise in digital technologies for health, capacity building for HRH, and data-driven public health programming. From a disease perspective, my specific areas of interest are child malnutrition, high-risk pregnancy, and infectious causes of chronic diseases.
